Dear colleagues, artists, exhibitors and visitors,

Whether the Tattoo Ink Explosion 10 could go ahead according to plan, we did not know for a long time. Unfortunately, worst case scenario has now hit and the “rejuvenation” of our lovely location does indeed take much longer than anticipated.

I immediately set out trying to find an alternative. But no place, no hall and no other room could have given me the space, but even more importantly the flair of our loved Kaiser-Friedrich-Hall. So a replacement location was not an option.

Out of respect to the organizers of other conventions, we decided not to move the TIE to a later date in 2019, purely to avoid calendar clashes with their shows.
We wouldn’t have appreciated to be on the receiving side of that ourselves.

It also would have meant pretty much having to plan two shows simultaneously, just to enable us to then return to our regular schedule for the following year.

It would have taken too much of an effort and I would have had problems to guarantee the quality you are used to twice, in such a short space of time.

To benefit all, we decided: the next Tattoo Ink Explosion will take place in 2020!

So be sure to pencil in the 13th till the 15th of March 2020 already!

This will also be our 10th anniversary.

We will put in even more effort than usual. Looking at our motto and all surrounding plans so far, you all will be in for a treat.

Rest assured you can happily look forward to it already!

Stay tuned, we will supply you with all news as they come hotly off the press.

Andy and his Tattoo Ink Explosion Team

It’s already over again… the TIE 9. It went so quick.

Like always, it was amazing. In every aspect. We are really thankful to our great team, the best artists and all the kind and interested visitors!

But where it ends, it also starts, we will chill out a little bit and let our sore feet rest for a while and then we start planning our 10th anniversary already. What we can do, is to reveal it's theme: we are gonna blow new life into our very first motto. “Hula hula & Tiki”. So be prepared and get your Hawaiian skirts and coconut-bikinis out of your closets.

IMPORTANT: Unfortunately, because of the restoration of our dear Kaiser-Friedrich-Halle, we will NOT BE ABLE to do the 10th anniversary on the date we wrote on the entrance tickets and the program booklets. We will keep you updated, as soon as we have more info!
